WebKit for Mac
Open-Source Web-browser engine.
Open-Source Web-browser engine.
WebKit is an open source web browser engine. WebKit is also the name of the macOS system framework version of the engine that's used by Safari, Mail, and many other macOS applications. WebKit’s HTML and JavaScript code began as a branch of the KHTML and KJS libraries from KDE.
When you download WebKit, please be aware that some security software might flag a component as PotentialRisk.PUA/AVF.PuAgent.xdutn.
This detection doesn't necessarily mean WebKit is malicious. Often, these "Potentially Unwanted Application" (PUA) warnings are triggered by certain types of installers or bundled software that, while not harmful, might perform actions like displaying ads or installing extra tools you didn't explicitly choose.
